About Us: Our History
In the spring of 2007, the oldest partisan consulting firm in the country changed its name, officially becoming Hamilton Campaigns. The new name pays homage to our past – Bill Hamilton founded the firm in 1964 – but also looks forward to a future where we continue to be a leader in providing decision-making services to Democratic campaigns and progressive organizations.
Hamilton Campaigns provides decision-making services utilized by campaigns – polling, mapping, and electoral targeting. The full political resume of Hamilton Campaigns spans from city halls across the country, to state houses, to the White House. Our non-political resume includes helping to solve problems and protect the brand of Fortune 500 companies, national non-profit organizations, and national and international media outlets. Many of the company's past employees have gone on to have successful careers as elected officials, legislative staff, marketing executives, and principals in their own firms.
The 45+ year history of the company has witnessed many changes in the political consulting industry. Hamilton Campaigns has been present for every major change, and further, has survived these changes because we have been on the cutting edge of providing new technologies, new services, and actionable advice.
Our experience working in areas with high Latino populations is unmatched. In 2002 and 2004, Hamilton Campaigns (as Hamilton Beattie & Staff) was awarded a "Pollie" ward from the American Association of Political Consultants for best bilingual research firm based on our Spanish-language research. Since 2004 alone, we have conducted hundreds of research projects that were either bilingual or fully conducted in Spanish.
Anyone who works with Hamilton Campaigns knows that they will receive cutting edge, quality information from people who know how to translate information into action.
